On July 22, 2026, I had the privilege of being honoured with the "Language Enthusiast of the Year" Award by the Department of Nigerian Languages, Federal University of Lafia.
It was a moment of gratitude, reflection, and celebration — not just for me, but for the Hausa language and every one of us working tirelessly to keep our mother tongue alive and thriving in the modern world.
I am deeply thankful to the Department of Nigerian Languages, FULafia, for this recognition. I also remain grateful to my mentors, colleagues, students, and everyone who continues to support this journey.
